Berberis thungbergii Maria is a deciduous shrub with a very columnar upright habit and golden yellow leaves. One of the best columnar gold leaf varieties keeping both its colour and shape well all season. Produces small pale yellow flowers in the spring. Suitable for planting in full sun or part shade conditions. 

Eventual height up to 1 to 1.5 metres with a spread of up to 0.5 to 1 metres. 

This is a deciduous shrub so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting fresh new growth in the spring
