Purple chokeberry Nero 

Aronia prunifolia Nero - purple chokeberry Nero is an upright deciduous shrub with dark glossy green leaves turning purple red in autumn. Large clusters of small white flowers in spring followed by purple black fruits in autumn. For best autumn colour plant in full sun in a well drained humus rich soil. Full sun or part shade. Attractive to birds and butterflies. Larger fruits are suitable for jam making. 

Eventual height and spread up to 1.2 to 2.5 metres. 

This is a deciduous shrub so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting fresh new growth in the spring
