Acer japonicum Vitifolium - Downy Japanese Maple Vitifolium is a large bushy deciduous shrub or small tree with very large rounded lobed green leaves opening in spring summer. In autumn leaves turn shades of purple, red and orange making it one of the nicest varieties for autumn colour. Red flowers in clusters underneath branches in spring. Full sun or part shade. 

Eventual height and spread up to 2.5 to 4 metres.

This is a deciduous shrub/tree so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting new growth in the spring
