Rubus thibetanus Silver Fern - ghost bramble is a bushy, medium sized, deciduous shrub with arching branches of prickly purplish stems bloomed white in winter. Dark green pinnate leaves with whitish undersides. Panicles of small purplish flowers followed by inedible black fruits in summer. Full sun or part shade. 

Eventual height and spread up to 1.5 to 2.5 metres

This is a deciduous shrub so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting fresh new growth in the spring.
