Rhus typhina is an upright, deciduous shrub or tree with velvety red shoots and dark green leaves which turn brilliant red-orange in autumn. Inconspicuous flowers but spikes of crimson fruit held in winter. Hardy. 

Eventual height up to 4 metres with a spread of up to 3 metres
