Evergreen, clump forming Bamboo forming large clumps of sulphur yellow canes often striped with green near the base, bearing lance shaped mid green leaves. Best in moist fertile soil in sun or part shade conditions. Hardy. Ultimate height 2.5-4 metres with spread 1.5-2.5 metres over 10-20 years. Suitable as a specimen plant or for hedging or screening.
