Persian Ironwood Vanessa 

Parrotia Vanessa is a small upright deciduous tree with attractive flaking bark and small red flowers open on bare stems in late winter and early spring before leaves. The ovate leaves open red bronze in spring turning green in summer. In autumn leaves turn red, orange and purple giving great autumn colour. Can be planted in full sun or part shade. 

Eventual height up to 8-12 metres with a spread of up to 2.5 to 4 metres over 20 to 50 years.
