Corylus maxima Purpurea is a large, deciduous, bushy shrub with dark purple leaves. Pale yellow catkins tinged purple in winter and edible nuts in autumn. Grow in full sun. Fully hardy. 

Eventual height and spread up to 4 metres

This is a deciduous shrub so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting fresh new growth in the spring
