Cobnut tree Pearson's Prolific is also known as Nottingham Prolific.

Deciduous, compact, tree or large shrub with broad green leaves in spring summer turning yellow in autumn. Produces showy yellow catkin flowers in spring followed by abundant crops of small to meduim sized round edible nuts of good flavour in autumn. A good pollinator. Growing at least two varieties together will ensure cross pollination. Usually cobnuts should produce nuts after 3-4 years of growth which shoud be collected in late September when the husks turn yellow.
