Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea Helmond Pillar - Japanese Barberry Helmond Pillar is a bushy, upright, thorny deciduous shrub with purple leaves. Small yellow flowers in spring followed by red berries in autumn. Full sun or part shade. 

Eventual height up to 1 to 1.5 metres with a spread of up to 0.5 to 1 metre

This is a deciduous shrub so it will lose all its leaves in autumn shooting fresh new growth in the spring
