Acer palmatum Inaba-shidare - Japanese Maple Inaba-shidare is a slow growing deciduous shrub or small tree with arching branches of deeply cut reddish purple leaves opening in spring summer. Then in autumn leaves turn a brilliant crimson colour before falling. Purple flowers in spring on undersides of branches. Full sun or part shade. Not south facing. 

Eventual height up to 2.5 with a spread of up to 3 metres.
