Acer palmatum Garnet - Japanese Maple Garnet is a compact, low growing deciduous shrub or small tree with finely cut reddish purple leaves opening in spring summer. Then in autumn leaves turn bright scarlet red before falling giving good autumn colour. Full sun or part shade. Shelter from cold, strong winds and scorching sun. Good for small gardens and containers. Not south facing. 

Eventual height up to 2 metres with a spread of up to 3 metres.
